Azeroth Survivors naxxramas is the game’s final zone, zone 13 of 13, with the story subtitle “The Scourge Invasion.” Unlock it by defeating C’Thun in Gates of Ahn’Qiraj; surviving until he arrives does not count. This page covers the unlock, encounters, enemy roster, and preparation for your run.

How to Unlock Azeroth Survivors Naxxramas

To open Naxxramas, defeat C’Thun in Gates of Ahn’Qiraj. That victory is the unlock condition: reaching his arrival during a run is not enough, and surviving until he appears will not open the next zone. Gates of Ahn’Qiraj is immediately before Naxxramas in the unlock order, and C’Thun is its final boss.

Unlock progress is saved separately for each class. If you change classes, check that class’s progress and be ready to complete the C’Thun requirement there. A clear on one class does not mean every class has Naxxramas unlocked. For class options and build ideas, browse the class builds and the class list before choosing who will take on the unlock run.

Once C’Thun is defeated, Naxxramas becomes the next zone in that class’s progression. It is the last stop in the game’s unlock order, so the goal here is reaching and clearing the final zone rather than opening another map. The fortress hangs over the Plaguelands, setting the scene for a run built around the Scourge, abominations, and lieutenants.

Which Bosses Appear in Naxxramas and When?

Naxxramas has five bosses, with Kel’Thuzad at the end. Bosses arrive on a timer during a run, and the game displays a next-boss countdown. Use that timer to track the approaching encounter and give yourself enough time to finish the current fight before the next one arrives.

The lieutenants emerge from alcoves near the abominations. After they fall, Kel’Thuzad rises from his throne in his frozen chamber. That sequence gives the zone’s boss progression its shape: fight through the lieutenants before facing the final boss. The full boss order and arrival times are listed here.

TimeBoss
4:00Anub’Rekhan
8:00Noth the Plaguebringer
12:00Patchwerk
16:00Sapphiron
20:00Kel’Thuzad · final

Kel’Thuzad is the final encounter. Keep the countdown in view throughout the run, especially when a fight is still underway as the next arrival approaches. Allow extra time to finish each boss fight; the countdown helps you anticipate the next encounter, but the fight itself still needs to be completed.

Which Enemies Do You Fight in Azeroth Survivors Naxxramas?

The Naxxramas enemy roster contains 16 types. It begins with Scourge creatures and cultists, then includes larger abominations, undead allies, and the lieutenants associated with the zone’s encounters. Expect to see Plagued Ghoul, Dread Creeper, Soldier of the Frozen Wastes, and Naxxramas Cultist. Other enemies include Carrion Spinner, Bile Retcher, Stoneskin Gargoyle, and Naxxramas Acolyte. The roster also lists Living Monstrosity, Soul Weaver, Unstoppable Abomination, and Guardian of Icecrown.

How Should You Prepare for Naxxramas?

Bring the talent points you earned in earlier zones. Naxxramas is the final zone in the unlock order, so your earlier progress gives you the talent points to take into this run. Before entering, review your build and make sure you have spent the points you intend to bring. The talent guide and passive guide can help you review those choices.

Plan your run around the boss timer. The game shows a next-boss countdown, so check it while moving through an encounter and allow extra time to finish each fight. A boss arriving on a timer means you should avoid treating the countdown as spare downtime; keep it in mind as the next fight approaches, then finish the current encounter before moving on.

Make your first Naxxramas clear on Normal before trying Heroic difficulty. A Normal clear gives you a first run through the zone’s sequence of bosses and its Scourge, abomination, and lieutenant themes. Learn how the encounters flow, pay attention to the countdown, and take that experience into a later Heroic attempt.

If you are still preparing your character, the zone guide provides a place to review progression, while the class guides cover class-specific builds. Keep the immediate goals simple: bring your earlier talent points, track each next-boss countdown, and clear Normal before moving up to Heroic.

What Comes After Naxxramas?

Nothing comes after Naxxramas in the game’s unlock order. It is zone 13 of 13 and the final zone, so there is no next map to unlock once you have reached it. The progression immediately before it is Gates of Ahn’Qiraj, where defeating C’Thun opens the way to Naxxramas.

That makes the zone’s endpoint Kel’Thuzad. The fortress hangs over the Plaguelands, and he waits in his frozen chamber. The lieutenants emerge from alcoves near the abominations; after they fall, Kel’Thuzad rises from his throne. The boss sequence and the enemy roster bring the Scourge, abominations, and lieutenants together for the final zone.

If you are deciding what to do after a clear, there is no later zone in the unlock chain to pursue. You can work toward a Heroic clear after completing Normal, or use another class and build to revisit the progression. Each class keeps its own zone unlock progress, so check that class’s unlock state before expecting Naxxramas to be available.

In the unlock chain, the previous zone is Gates of Ahn'Qiraj; the full zone list shows every map in order.
