Azeroth Survivors feralas is zone 6 of 13, and its story subtitle is “The Gates of Dire Maul.” To unlock it, progress through the zone order after Arathi Basin and defeat Lord Aliden Perenolde; surviving until he arrives is not enough. Unlock progress is saved separately for each class.

How to Unlock Azeroth Survivors Feralas

Feralas follows Arathi Basin in the zone order. Your route into the zone depends on defeating Lord Aliden Perenolde in Arathi Basin. Simply surviving until he arrives does not meet the menu requirement, so keep going until the fight is finished and he is defeated. Once that condition is met, Feralas can open in the menu for the class you played.

Progress is tracked separately for each class. If you unlock Feralas while playing one class, that does not automatically unlock it for every other class. Check the menu on the class you want to use, and plan to earn that class’s progress through the preceding zone as needed. This class-by-class setup also applies to difficulty: beating Feralas on Normal opens its Heroic difficulty for that class.

The story frames the zone as a pursuit through Feralas: Gordunni ogres break out of Dire Maul, with Woodpaw gnolls and the wild things of Feralas behind them. The subtitle, “The Gates of Dire Maul,” sets the scene for that encounter. For broader progression context, see the zone index and the Arathi Basin guide.

Which Bosses Appear in Feralas and When?

Feralas has five bosses, and they arrive in a fixed listed order. The first encounter begins at the four-minute mark with Zevrim Thornhoof, followed by Alzzin the Wildshaper at the seven-minute mark. Tendris Warpwood arrives at the eleven-minute mark, and Immol’thar follows at the fourteen-minute mark. King Gordok closes the sequence at the eighteen-minute mark as the final boss.

Use the next-boss countdown to keep track of the schedule while you play. Each arrival time is an opportunity to check how much of the current fight remains and allow time to finish it before the next encounter. The bosses do not arrive as an unordered roster, so knowing the sequence helps you recognize what is coming and keep your attention on the current fight.

The time stamps are useful landmarks across a run: Zevrim Thornhoof, Alzzin the Wildshaper, Tendris Warpwood, Immol’thar, then King Gordok. Keep the countdown in view as each fight progresses, and avoid treating an arrival as a cue to abandon an unfinished encounter. Defeating King Gordok also matters for progression, since his defeat opens the next zone in the order.

Which Enemies Do You Fight in Azeroth Survivors Feralas?

Azeroth Survivors feralas has 12 enemy types. Its encounter themes include Gordunni ogres and Woodpaw gnolls, with additional threats drawn from the zone’s wild things. The roster includes enemies with different names and roles, so use the list to recognize what belongs to this zone rather than assuming every encounter is made up of the two story groups.

Woodpaw Mongrel, Longtooth Runner, and Sprite Darter are among the listed enemies. The Woodpaw Mystic joins them, alongside Gordunni Ogre and Wildspawn Satyr. The roster also includes Ironfur Bear, Gordunni Ogre-Mage, and Feral Scar Yeti. Gordunni Brute, Warpwood Treant, and Ironbark Protector complete the named roster.

That spread gives you a clear checklist for the zone’s enemy lineup. The Woodpaw names connect to the gnolls in the story, while several entries carry the Gordunni name and fit the ogre theme. Other listed enemies include bears, a yeti, satyrs, and treants. Keep the full roster in mind as a reference when identifying the threats appearing during a run.

If you are comparing class choices before entering, browse the class overview or look at a class page such as the priest build. Those pages can help you think through your character choice; the Feralas roster itself is listed here for quick reference.

How Should You Prepare for Feralas?

Bring the talent points earned in previous zones when preparing for Feralas. Treat them as part of your setup before entering, and take time to make your choices with the zone ahead in mind. The available guidance supports carrying forward those earned points; it does not call for a particular build or a specific allocation, so use the options that suit the class you are playing.

Make your first clear on Normal before trying Heroic. A Normal victory with a class opens Heroic for that same class, making Normal the practical first target when reaching Feralas. Since progress is class-specific, complete that first clear on the character whose Heroic access you want. There is no need to treat another class’s unlock as a substitute for your own class’s progress.

During a run, keep an eye on the next-boss countdown and allow enough time to finish each fight. The schedule has five arrivals, ending with King Gordok at the eighteen-minute mark, so staying aware of the next encounter is part of managing your run. Before starting, review the boss order and enemy roster, carry your earlier talent points, and aim for the Normal clear first.

For character planning, you can also compare a mage build or review talents. Use those pages alongside the class-specific progression rule: the goal for a first visit is to clear Normal with the class you intend to advance.

What Comes After Feralas?

Defeating King Gordok unlocks Gurubashi Arena in the zone order. He is the final Feralas boss and arrives at the eighteen-minute mark, so the next step depends on completing the last fight rather than simply reaching his arrival. Once he is defeated, the menu progression can move on to Gurubashi Arena.

Keep the class-specific progression rule in mind as you move forward. Unlock progress is saved separately for each class, and beating Feralas on Normal opens Heroic for that class. If your goal is the next zone, focus on defeating King Gordok; if your goal is a higher difficulty, first complete the Normal clear with the class you want to take into Heroic.

Feralas is a clear point in the wider route: it comes after Arathi Basin and before Gurubashi Arena. The five-boss schedule gives the run a definite endpoint, while the enemy roster and the story’s Gordunni and Woodpaw themes make the zone easy to identify in your progression. Use the wiki zone pages to keep track of the areas available across the route.

In the unlock chain, the previous zone is Arathi Basin and the next one is Gurubashi Arena; the full zone list shows every map in order.
