About Archer: Dungeon Hero

What is Archer: Dungeon Hero?

Archer: Dungeon Hero is a free 3D fantasy roguelike you play in the browser. You guide a single archer through dungeon rooms full of monsters, and the archer fires arrows at enemies without you pressing an attack button. Every run asks you to stack abilities into a build, and no two runs end up the same.

How Archer: Dungeon Hero plays

Archer: Dungeon Hero opens on a stage select. The first stage is Secret Chambers, and you press Start to enter it. Each stage is a run of rooms, with the room number shown at the top of the screen. In our first room the archer cleared the monsters on its own while we moved around, and coins dropped for us to collect.

Abilities in Archer: Dungeon Hero

When you level up, the game offers three abilities and you keep one. Our first choice was Shock (attacks can shock enemies), Split Shot (projectiles split into several smaller ones) and Combo (each consecutive kill raises damage). Roll Again swaps the three for 200 coins, and an Upgrade button sits next to it.

Archer: Dungeon Hero controls

The game's instructions say you control the hero with a virtual joystick or the keyboard. Keep your distance from enemies, dodge the projectiles they throw, and let the archer shoot. According to the listing, each stage also has treasure chests and powerful bosses, and between runs you equip better items and raise your hero's permanent stats.

Tips for Archer: Dungeon Hero

Projectiles are what end most runs, so watch for incoming shots before you chase coins. Abilities that multiply arrows, such as Split Shot, help you clear crowded rooms faster. Spend coins on Roll Again only when none of the three cards fits your build; otherwise save them. Clearing a room quickly means fewer shots coming your way.

Archer: Dungeon Hero next to Azeroth Survivors

Azeroth Survivors, the main game on this site, throws growing waves at you in one arena. Archer: Dungeon Hero splits the fight into rooms and stages instead, but the core is close: you move, the attacks are automatic, and level-up choices shape the run. If you want a fantasy roguelike with a slower, room-by-room pace, start Archer: Dungeon Hero above.
